There are many people against gambling or betting. This is because these people do not know how to control themselves or have good financial management. Primarily, these people lose money and are afraid of losing money. Some might argue that gambling strain family relationship which I personally think is very true ONLY when the person is irresponsible and does not control his money well.
It can say the same with regards to baseball betting. Baseball betting is not a sin but a profitable investment. Do you ever hear people saying that investing in property is a sin? I personally did not. It is because people have the concept that investing in stocks or property involve large amount of capital and people are dead serious when dealing with them. Whereas in baseball betting, you can start with a small amount of wager similar to playing lottery. However, my question is if you are going to treat baseball betting as if as you playing lottery, then I understand what others might think of you. But if you are going to do your homework and be serious about baseball betting, it will be a whole different matter.
Baseball betting is only a sin when you lose your control and let it take over your life completely. Be sure to study the game, teams, news, past playing records and most importantly discipline yourself. If you need the necessary information and tools, find them and use them to your advantages. Seek help from the experts too.
Last but not least, enjoy the match and hopefully earn extra bucks for yourself too!
